Correct Grading is the most important aspect to any record collector and it is what we class as our most important job. Here at Norfolk In Records, our team of dedicated staff are all collectors who care passionately about Vinyl Records and understand the importance of an accurate grading system. Once a record has been play-tested, visually inspected, and then had its final pro clean along with sleeve and inner if applicable it will be placed into our temperature-controlled secure filing system ready for dispatch.
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet, or poster are in perfect condition. Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is a very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good Plus: This record has clearly been played before, but has only a moderate reduction in sound quality, despite a possible slight loss of shine and some surface marks.The cover shows signs of typical wear and tear, such as small stickers or light ring marks. Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and scratches. The cover and contents suffer from issues like folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, and discoloration. Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.All Vinyl Records will be fully insured for loss or damage.
